  • If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, call MHAIDS on 0800 745 477.  We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
  • If you are already being treated by an MHAIDS service, you can call the service directly (between 8am and 5pm). Use the contacts in the links on this page.
  • If the person is threatening to harm themselves or others, call 111 and ask for police. 

Forensic and rehabilitation services

Our forensic mental health service supports rangatahi (young people) and adults with a mental health condition who have come into contact with the criminal justice system.

Support services and advisors

MHAIDS provides additional support and advisory services to people using our mental health services. These include whānau (family) advice, support for Māori, a lived experience team and a chapel and spiritual therapy services.

There are 2 ways you can give feedback on our services. Mārama is our digital survey that allows you and your whānau to give anonymous feedback. If you have a complaint or compliment about a specific person or event, you can use our formal feedback process.
