Central regional forensic adult inpatient mental health service

This service provides a secure environment for people with mental health problems who have been referred to us through the criminal justice system.

Central regional forensic community mental health

This service covers the lower North Island and supports people who have been in the criminal justice system who are moving to general mental health care.

Intellectual disability services

Our intellectual disability service provides treatment and rehabilitation for people with an intellectual disability who are involved in the criminal justice system or who have a mental health condition.

Nga Taiohi — National secure youth forensic inpatient mental health service

The Nga Taiohi unit treats rangatahi (young people) aged 13 to 17 who are severely affected by mental health problems and who are involved in the youth justice system.

Regional rehabilitation and extended care inpatient service (RRS)

The RRS is a 24-hour mental health inpatient service focused on extended care to support recovery and rehabilitation. The service is located in Porirua.
