About the coverage data tool
The programme has a responsibility under Te Tiriti o Waitangi to end differences in screening coverage between Māori and non-Māori. Our equity target includes eliminating equity gaps for Pacific women and reach 70% coverage for all.
Monitoring coverage is critical for:
- understanding how well the programme is performing
- identifying where we could do better.
Coverage is the number of wāhine and others eligible for screening who have been screened in a given period.
