About the Cancer National Clinical Network
Cancer remains the leading cause of death in Aotearoa New Zealand. There were around 10,000 deaths and 27,000 new diagnoses last year.
Significant differences exist in access and outcomes. This is especially true for Māori, Pacific peoples, disabled individuals, and those in poverty.
The Cancer National Clinical Network is working to:
- support innovation in workforce models to meet the rising demand on services
- develop sustainable, fair models of coordinated cancer care to reduce unwarranted variations in access and treatment outcomes.
