Coverage
One of the main performance measures of the National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP) is coverage.

- The proportion of women eligible for screening who have been screened in the previous 3 years.
Our target is to reach 80% screening coverage for all those eligible.

PHO status report
The NCSP cervical screening status report is provided monthly to PHOs. This report is intended to support invitation and recall of eligible participants, and effective participant support and follow up.
The data in this report is supplied under section 112J(3) of the Health Act 1956. S112J(3). These permit register information to be disclosed to authorised individuals for the purpose of enabling:
- results from a screening test or a diagnostic test to be followed up
- notices to be sent to enrolled women.

If you want to access, use or disclose wāhine Māori cervical screening data from the NCSP Register, you must first make an application to the National Kaitiaki Group.
