The Rheumatic Fever Roadmap sets out a plan to strengthen efforts across Aotearoa New Zealand to prevent rheumatic fever and better support people living with rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease.
Its goal is pae ora (healthy futures) for tamariki and rangatahi by reducing new cases and helping affected people and their whānau live well. The roadmap brings together organisations involved in prevention, treatment and support, and outlines shared priorities and actions. The experiences and perspectives of Māori and Pacific patients and whānau have helped shape the focus areas of the plan.
