AIR reporting
Reports available to specific providers for the Aotearoa Immunisation Register.
Operational reports
- Immunisation Events Given — shows details of vaccines given at a location within a specified date range in the last 5 years.
- Childhood Immunisation Planned Events — shows the immunisation status of tamariki under the age of 6 against the National Immunisation Schedule (NIS).
- Youth Immunisation Planned Events — shows the immunisation status of children against the NIS, specifically for 11-year-old Tdap and HPV immunisation events.
- Newborn Enrolment Notification Dashboard — shows the enrolment status of pēpi and highlights areas where actions are required to support timely newborn enrolment.
Who can get these reports
- Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) with information sharing agreements (ISAs) and immunisation schedules.
- District immunisation teams (including AIR Admin and Immunisation Leads).
- Intelligence Teams (Health New Zealand, Ministry of Health analysts) who require NHI-level immunisation event information to perform their role.
Immunisation summary dashboard
The immunisation summary dashboard gives regions and districts:
- immunisation metrics for vaccines included in milestone coverage, including by PHO and general practice
- information on declined immunisation events for data such as ethnic group and location.

Fabric Lakehouse
Several tables are available in the AIR Fabric Lakehouse to support reporting and reconciliation for Primary Health Organisation Service Agreement (PHOSA) performance programmes.

Additional reports for AIR administrators
AIR administrators currently have access to 3 additional NHI-level reports to support their roles.
- Population Identification — used to monitor your complete population, including children under 6 years of age and the people who move in and out of your district.
- HepB Serology — used to identify children who have received a dose of HepB and/or HBIG within 7 days of birth. Used to follow up with general practice to make sure that the 9-month serology results are sent to the AIR.
- Match Quality — used to investigate record with match quality items on planned events.
AIR admins can access a user guide for each report on the AIR Admin Resources Power BI pages on Knowledge.
Vaccination report for immunisation providers
Immunisation providers who use the AIR vaccinator portal have access to a vaccinations [MEDICAL-IN-CONFIDENCE] report. This is available for providers including:
- primary care
- midwives
- pharmacy
- occupational health
- other frontline services.
The report includes a list of the vaccines that have been given at the facilities that you have access to.
For privacy reasons, the report can only be used to:
- support reconciling immunisations given to pharmacy dispensary records
- prepare payment claims
- provide a list of employees or contractors who have taken up the offer of privately funded vaccines.

Report development
Reporting improvements and data quality updates are ongoing.
Updates are released every 3 weeks, with an email sent on release day.
