Access to the cervical screening programme register
Cervical screening information is stored in the national screening programme register (NCSP-R).

The register can be used to:
- store cervical screening information
- track participants through their screening pathway
- communicate with participants
- let women know when they are next due for a screening appointment.
How to access information in the register
Health providers can search for and view patient identity information with the Health Identity User Interface (HealthUI). You can use this to verify if a screening participant is a holder of a community services card.
You can request access to HealthUI if you have a Connected Health connection (the Ministry of Health IT system for securely sharing information).
Fill out the the health identity user interface access request form, sign it and email it to: NHI_Access@moh.govt.nz.
