The Harrison Learning Centre at the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Unit, located next to the dining room, offers games, puzzles, books (available for loan), a quiet place to relax, and a piano.
To ensure everyone enjoys the Centre, we have a few agreements:
- Computers are for patients' use only; children are not allowed to use or play with them.
- The Centre is for patients and their visitors to relax, learn, and enjoy.
- Staff may restrict the use of the facilities as needed.

Opening Hours:

Patients in the Auckland area are encouraged to have family/whānau handle their personal laundry needs. For patients from other areas, it is also preferred that family/whānau take care of laundry. If this is not possible, laundry facilities with washing powder are available on the ward. To economize, it's best to do laundry in bulk loads, so having at least five complete changes of clothing is recommended.
The unit takes no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. To prevent loss, it is advisable to clearly label your clothing.
Mails are delivered to the ward daily during the week. Outward mails can be posted from administration, but are to have stamps.
